Abstract:
Following the 2011 implementation of the Pure CRIS at the University of Edinburgh, the need has arisen to promote its efficient daily operation by adequately trained staff that support the researchers' engagement with the institutional system. An insight is provided on the professional role and abilities these research information managers should meet, and suggestions are made for establishing a more formal means of achieving and certifying such professional qualification.
