The Knowledge Base of the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn (BW UWM) is a fully functional CRIS system operating at the University (UWM). The system is based on software by Warsaw University of Technology's - Omega-PSIR. It provides university authorities with a full view of the University's scientific output and enables its reporting to external systems, including the Ministry of Education and Science. The UWM BW is integrated with the University's internal systems and external databases.
The UWM Knowledge Base collects data related to scientific activities: publications, projects, patents, artistic works, journals published by the University, organized conferences and other activities of scientists. It provides open access to full texts of publications and research data. BW UWM contains scientific profiles of UWM research staff and allows generating reports and analyses based on data collected in the database. The Knowledge Base contains the current organizational structure of UWM, which allows it to present the network of connections between employees of the University units.
