Biography
Professor of Library Science @ Purdue University, my research focuses on data curation issues related to research data in the academic setting; changing roles of librarians in dealing with research data in the evolving scholarly communication landscape. Nov 2013 we wrapped up the project "Exploring Data Curation through the Data Curation Profiles." (Institute of Museum and Library Services, $187,000, 2010-2013) in which we taught over 300 librarians to use the Data Curation Profiles Toolkit. Our next project will be to develop a DCP 2.0-- to leverage technology to improve the Toolkit. With Jake Carlson and Michael Witt, I received the 2013 ACRL STS Innovation in Science and Technology Librarianship Award for our work on the Data Curation Profiles Toolkit.
