Item type:Publication, KISSUBITUC – is that AI?(euroCRIS, 2024-05-16); ; ; The topic of AI is currently on everyone’s lips. Can‘t AI also be a solution if the added value of an implemented software solution hasn’t unfolded, if there’s a lack of acceptance or even if the introduction itself has stalled, when digitalisation takes place or when the software is available, but the solution just won’t work? On the "Implementation of a current research information system", ChatGPT states on 12.02.2024, among other things: "[…] The implementation of a CRIS is a complex process that requires close cooperation between IT experts, researchers and other stakeholders. […]". In other words, AI provides the "instruction" but isn’t part of the solution itself. Also, the "instruction" is very theoretical and doesn‘t help with specific problems. The goal to be achieved is defined by the question "What needs to be done?". In order to solve a specific problem, the question "How do I do it?" needs to be clarified in addition and depending on the individual situation. Regarding "KISSUBITUC", ChatGPT states "Based on my last knowledge update in January 2022, I am not familiar with the term KISSUBITUC […]". For AT-CRIS, KISSUBITUC represents three best-practice examples of customer solutions with very different framework conditions and requirements.
