Abstract
The Methodology of Evaluation of the Results of Research Organizations and Results of Finished Programmes in the Czech Republic for the period 2013-2015 is presented. Firstly an overview is provided of the history and evolution of the methodology for research assessment in the Czech Republic and its gradual expansion in coverage and complexity. The new Methodology, established 2013, includes new features such as evaluation of peer review, quality assessment of selected results and new evaluation of applied R&D. The 3-pillar strategy for an improved research evaluation is described, covering (i) evaluation of publication results, (ii) peer review evaluation of the quality of
selected results, and (iii) evaluation of patents and non-publication results of the applied research.
