Abstract
Current trends such as Virtual Research Environments, Unified Communication and Collaboration and Social Media motivate the elaboration of collaboration facilities within Current Research Information Systems. In particular, federated scenarios demand for an enhancement in the way different CRIS or the researchers respectively exchange information. Besides covering the complete
research process, the next generation of CRIS has to address these issues by allowing the
researcher an efficient way to communicate. The session will focus on the new version of
CONVERIS, which not only aims to introduce the methods and principles to cover the complete research process but also to elaborate collaboration features of CONVERIS.
