Abstract
The presentation introduces the work of FECYT in the areas of research information infrastructures and their support, together with the numerous international projects and partners the Foundation is involved with. The legal framework for Open Science in Spain is described, with an emphasis on the National Open Science Strategy 2023-2027 (ENCA) and its four pillars. The FECYT-issued and -run María de Guzmán (MdG) funding programme provides funding to improve open science infrastructures including CRIS systems: some detailed stats are provided for the uptake of its 2021-22 and 2023 calls. An overview of the CRIS landscape in Spain is offered, with a focus on the national SICTI platform currently being developed by the Ministry of Science. Finally, the Spanish Normalised Curriculum Vitae (CVN) project is explained, including its upgrade in 2022 to support a wider range of persistent identifiers.
