Abstract:
The presentation describes the research information management system configuration the University of Münster is currently implementing, namely an 'internal' Converis CRIS with an outwards-looking open source VIVO portal on top of it and fed by the CRIS data. A summary of the rationale for and the advantages of such a configuration is provided, together with an analysis of the associated technical challenges for information exchange purposes.
