Abstract:
The presentation explores the main findings of the two major surveys of the RIM landscape that euroCRIS has carried out thus far. These were the 2016 joint survey with EUNIS on CRIS/IR systems in Europe and the 2018 worldwide survey (with OCLC) on research information management practices and the role of research libraries with regard to RIM. The findings for both surveys are summarised and compared, with an emphasis on drivers for the adoption of a RIM strategy, on system interoperability and on actual functions for an institutional RIM system.
