| dc.description.abstract | This presentation describes the open source system SURplus developed by CINECA for providing an answer to the research information management needs at Italian HEIs. The first section introduces CINECA and its current restructuring process following its recent merger with Cilea and Caspur to become the only Italian University Consortium. The description of SURplus features is followed by a detailed explanation of the various open source technologies used by the system in order to provide its comprehensive functionality. A description is also provided for the HKU Scholar Hub platform run by the Hong Kong University on a DSpace-CRIS platform jointly developed by HKU and CINECA. | en_US |
