dc.description27 slides.-- Presentation delivered within the 1st Open Science Week at Universidad de Concepción (Chile).-- Full event programme also available as a supplementary file.en_US
The presentation addresses the role Current Research Information Systems (CRIS) are able to play in the implementation of Open Science. A DRIS-based snapshot of the available research information management infrastructure in Latin America is provided, with an emphasis on Chile and on the DATACIENCIA service provided by the Chilean National Agency for Research and Development (ANID). The top-down and bottom-up models for research information exchange are discussed, together with the need for social interoperability on top of the technical one.-
