Abstract:
The presentation provides an update on the progress in the definition of an agenda and a policy for Open Science implementation in the EU, with a parallel examination on how the resulting strategy is being adopted at the Trinity College Dublin (TCD). The features and roles of the different institutional systems at TCD are explained under the lens of the European Commission's '8 pillars of Open Science', with an emphasis on the ongoing activity around education and skills. The role that Research Information Management Systems like the TCD's Research Support System (RSS) can play in the implementation of Open Science is highlighted.
