Abstract:
The presentation introduces the European Network for Research Evaluation in the Social Sciences and Humanities (ENRESSH) project and the various approaches towards research information collection in the Nordic countries. The Finnish VIRTA solution for the collection of research outputs based on interoperability between multiple institutional systems and a central database is proposed as an example for an European-scope aggregation. Some consideration on the value of CRISs for research studies are finally offered. The main challenge in this regard is the creation of comparable contents across systems on the basis of shared definitions, classifications and authority records.
