Item type:Publication, The CRIS and RIM landscape: surveys(euroCRIS, 2019-09-04)The presentation explores the main findings of the two major surveys of the RIM landscape that euroCRIS has carried out thus far. These were the 2016 joint survey with EUNIS on CRIS/IR systems in Europe and the 2018 worldwide survey (with OCLC) on research information management practices and the role of research libraries with regard to RIM. The findings for both surveys are summarised and compared, with an emphasis on drivers for the adoption of a RIM strategy, on system interoperability and on actual functions for an institutional RIM system. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Item type:Publication, Innovative Open Source Technologies for a CRIS: SURplus, a solution by CINECA(euroCRIS, 2013-05-13); This presentation describes the open source system SURplus developed by CINECA for providing an answer to the research information management needs at Italian HEIs. The first section introduces CINECA and its current restructuring process following its recent merger with Cilea and Caspur to become the only Italian University Consortium. The description of SURplus features is followed by a detailed explanation of the various open source technologies used by the system in order to provide its comprehensive functionality. A description is also provided for the HKU Scholar Hub platform run by the Hong Kong University on a DSpace-CRIS platform jointly developed by HKU and CINECA.
