Item type:Publication, CRIS with in-text citations as interactive entities(euroCRIS, 2018-06-14)Based on current development of the Socionet CRIS (socionet.ru), we discuss in this paper a transformation of research papers’ text fragments called the in-text citations into interactive entities, which can initiate direct scholarly communications between the authors who are cited (cited authors) and those who cite (citing authors). This process, in its turn, opens up opportunities for cited and citing authors to transform their typically one-way scholarly communication into research collaboration. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Item type:Publication, SocioRePEc CRIS with an interactive mode of the research outputs usage(euroCRIS, 2016-06-10)This paper discusses an approach allowing researchers – users of some CRIS – to initiate and maintain scholarly pre-publication communication. The pre-publication communication takes place between authors of some research outputs and researchers who use these outputs on a stage of preparing their own research papers. Such communication is initiated when a researcher who uses CRIS tools is manipulating with a research output text and/or with the text fragments to create his/her own research outputs. In this paper a SocioRePEc CRIS is presented, which is being designed specifically to allow researchers in economics (who belong to a bigger international community of RePEc users) to make experiments with pre-publication communication. By this, researchers get capacity to use research outputs available at RePEc (metadata and/or full texts in PDF) in so-called “interactive” mode. The discussion explains that this interactive usage mode leads to better adjustment of the researchers’ supply and demand, and opens an opportunity for the further wider/deeper research cooperation. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Building upon the comprehensive set of semantic linkages established from the platform, the presentation makes emphasis on open re-use of research outputs to produce new scientific knowledge. Item type:Publication, Open Repository of Semantic Linkages(euroCRIS, 2012-06-07)The growing use of the CRIS-CERIF concept in combination with the natural development of research information systems de facto leads to a certain standardization of the systems, e.g. concerning content, a set and a structure of information objects that they are operating with. Modern research information systems operate with virtually the same set of objects: "person", "organization", "project", "research output/outcome", "event" and some others. This allows us: (a) to consider the public information objects maintained within independent local CRIS, as objects of a common research Data and Information Space (DIS), and (b) to create tools and services for the re-use of these information objects in some new ways. Proposed open repository of semantic linkages enables scientists to express in a computer-readable form their opinions about multiple scientific relationships that can exist between research objects. Technically it means an establishing of a multi-layer network of semantic linkages over all DIS content. Local CRIS can use some API associated with the repository to visualize semantic linkages for the objects from their content. Semantic vocabularies, used when scientists are creating linkages, are open to the completion and development by the community. The repository is supplemented by some services like monitoring, notifications and scientometrics. Using this semantic linkages open repository (SLOR) the scientific community can get multiple benefits and makes one more step to a universal interoperability on the CRIS-CERIF model base.
