Item type:Publication, Transitioning from Current to Collaborative Research Information Systems(euroCRIS, 2019-11-20)CRIS systems are rapidly being repurposed from systems of record to a source for showcasing and valorization of research. Because research impact is primarily measured through the level of collaboration, researchers are focused on promoting their cooperation with both peers and industry to (potential) funders. Showcasing these achievements through the university website has become a focal point where researcher needs collide with IT practices and regulations, as well as a CRIS system that is not equipped to efficiently handle collaborations with external partners. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, FRIDa: A Solution for the Post-CRIS Era?(euroCRIS, 2025-05-14); The Fair Research Information Dashboard (FRIDa) project was launched in 2023 at Groningen University and UMCG as an initiative to develop a data warehouse and BI dashboards for research intelligence and faculty management. Built on cloud infrastructure, FRIDa integrates data from 13 different sources, combining local systems such as AFAS and Pure with external information from funders, publishers, and dataset providers. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Showcasing collaborations using VIVO: Re-using and combining Pure data(euroCRIS, 2019-09-04)An example for the coupling of an institutional CRIS (Pure at the Technical University Eindhoven) and VIVO is provided as a case study for system interoperability between both systems. The aim of this ongoing TU/e project is to provide a single research portal for several institutions, and the presentation examines the advantages of using a flexible, highly-configurable open source solution for the purpose instead of the default CRIS research portal designed to serve just one institution.
