Abstract
The presentation introduces the Hércules project, an EU-funded initiative promoted by the Conference of Rectors of Spanish Universities (CRUE) and led by the University of Murcia aiming to develop a research management system with semantic capacities for all Spanish Universities. 84 of these already have some kind of CRIS, but the levels of interoperability and standardisation are low. By the Nov 2022 project end-date Hércules aims to have produced:
- RMS: A prototype Research Management System, which should be connected to the Semantic Systems and the research data network created in the scope of the Project;
- OISA: An Ontological Infrastructure for the description of the information of the research domain plus a Semantic Architecture for the management of the research data of the Spanish University System;
- DEAM: Enrichment of research Data from Internet sources and development of semantic Analysis Methods.
