Abstract
Presentation on research information, CERIF and euroCRIS delivered by Jan Dvořák, CERIF Task Group Leader, at the "Use Science: Open Infrastructure to Foster Collaboration between Industry and Academia" Conference held at Riga Technical University in Riga, Latvia, on Nov 28-29, 2013. The presentation addresses the research information requirements of the scientific community and how CERIF and euroCRIS address such needs. Special emphasis is made on the way CERIF models information describing research infrastructures, with an analysis of the two main initiatives taking place in the domain in which euroCRIS is directly involved, namely the MERIL Directory of Research Infrastructures of more-than-national relevance in Europe and the EuroRIs-Net+Observatory Project for Developing an European Network of Research Information National Contact Points.
This presentation, delivered on Nov 28th, was followed by a CERIF Tutorial on the 29th, also carried out by Jan Dvořák.
