Abstract
The presentation reflects upon the nature and importance of research metadata end examines the different stakeholders involved in its issuing, development and maintenance plus the required coordination work to make co-existing standards useful to the community. Some challenges to meet are also addressed regarding the realization of optimal solutions for Research Information Metadata.
