Abstract:
The presentation provides an introduction to the non-profit association euroCRIS, whose mission is to promote collaboration within the research information community and advance interoperability through CERIF. Current Research Information Systems (CRIS) and their increasingly relevant role at research-performing organisations are described, with an emphasis on their underpinning CERIF data model and on the interoperability mechanisms that allow the exchange of research information they contain. VIVO is shown as a potential complementary piece for showcasing this wealth of research information held in CRIS systems.
