We describe a science data portal for generic access to scientific data. This data portal is uses a generic science metadata format to catalogue and access science data from a range of disciplines. We describe the
metadata format that is used and further discuss how this can be used in combination with library metadata formats, such as the Dublin Core, to access all the outputs of scientific projects, both data and publications.
