Abstract:
The presentation describes the initiative taken by the OpenAIRE European project for enabling CERIF-based CRIS systems to become additional data providers for this content aggregation. The OpenAIRE Guidelines for CRIS Systems will be based on a CERIF-XML exchange format developed for the purpose matching the CERIF-compliant OpenAIRE data model with the CERIF-based CRIS metadata standards. Besides widening the OpenAIRE system coverage beyond Open Access repositories, this will also allow for additional digital objects to be collected such as datasets held in CRIS systems.
