Abstract:
POL-on is a multi-module CRIS-like system for collecting all data related to research activity in Poland. The Polish Scholarly Bibliography (PBN) is a CERIF-compliant POL-on module devoted to the harvesting of research publications at national level by having them pushed from institutional systems. The presentation examines the various issues that have arisen in the implementation process for both POL-on and the PBN, with an emphasis on the lack of identifier harmonisation that prevents interoperability.
