Abstract: 
The BMEL-funded SynSICRIS project is a collaboration beteween University of Kassel, Disy Informationssysteme GmbH and 4Science srl. The project aims to extend the open source DSpace-CRIS platform with entities related to research contributions to societal impact and functionalities for using the CRIS in funding processes. The work is carried out in the domain of agricultural research as an example, but with a focus on transferability to other fields of research.

The overall project aims are to assess, acknowledge and increase the contribution of research to societal impact and to support impact-oriented funding processes. A specific element for development within the SynSICRIS project is a user interface to create Impact-Pathways.
