Abstract:
Universitas XXI-Investigación (UXXI-Research) is the Research Information Management System or CRIS developed by the Office for University Cooperation (Oficina de Cooperación Universitaria, OCU) in Spain. OCU is a Spanish University Consortium dealing with designing, developing and implementing CRIS solutions in Spain and Latin America. This presentation shows two use cases for CRIS/IR integration at two different universities in Spain: at the Open University of Catalonia (UOC) the CRIS/IR integration is driven by the DSpace-based IR while the CRIS hosts the resulting handle identifiers for the stored items. On the other hand, at the Carlos III University Madrid (UC3M) the integrated storage process is mainly carried out from the Library in the CRIS, where the metadata are exported from to the e-archivo IR.
