Abstract: 
ORBIS, https://orbis.uaslp.mx/vivo/, is presented as a case study for an institutional VIVO-based research information management system at UASLP in Mexico. ORBIS provides an institutional case study for a VIVO platform operated as a standalone system. The presentation describes the information sources and interoperability mechanisms applied for populating the research portal and introduces some of the challenges for future developments.
