A case study is proposed for this purpose in the area of snakebite, showing the very relevant Open Access and Research Data Management application in this specific research field -- classed as a neglected tropical disease by the WHO -- by means of the research portals at the University of Bangor in Wales and the SIGPRO institutional CRIS at the University of Costa Rica. Besides Open Science, research information collected in CRIS systems is shown to be also very valuable for dissemination, research assessment and business analytics. |
