Abstract: 
The presentation summarises the discussions held at the third “International Forum on Expert Finder Systems” that took place in Miami, Florida, USA on 5-6 April 2023. An update is provided on the event itself, with an overview of the program highlights and keynote speakers. This is placed in the context of the efforts to create a North American community of practice around research information management and of previous work done by OCLC -- the 'Research Information Management in the United States' report -- to analyse the evolving CRIS landscape in the country.
