The presentation explores the role that Current Research Information Systems (CRIS) -- and specifically the National Ukrainian Research Information System URIS -- play in the implementation of Open Science. CRIS systems help provide an open and comprehensive snapshot of the research that is conducted at an institution or in a whole country and may become key tools in the implementation of specific areas of Open Science such as Open Access and Research Data Management.
