Title: | Tapestry: A CoARA-compliant CRIS proposal | Authors: | Aguillo, Isidro | Keywords: | research information;research assessment;Coalition for Advancing Research Assessment (CoARA);indicators;current research information systems | Issue Date: | 22-Nov-2023 | Publisher: | euroCRIS | Conference: | Strategic Membership Meeting 2023 – Autumn (Pamplona) | Abstract: | An overview is provided for the different initiatives attempting to promote a more responsible approach to research evaluation such as CoARA, the DORA Declaration or the Leiden Manifesto. This is followed by a proposal to use the research information held in CRIS systems to establish a framework of Open Science-aligned indicators that may provide the basis for a reformed research assessment framework in line with the recommendations made by CoARA. A tapestry composed of a wide range of such indicators is presented as an example for an evaluation framework that would allow all relevant research activities to be captured. |
