Abstract:
The Austrian Science Fund FWF is digitalising its services for researchers, research institutions, employees, and stakeholders with the FWF4.0 project and aligns its efforts with the national RIS Synergy initiative. The organisation anticipates both new opportunities and challenges.

Key learnings include the importance of proactive management support, transparent communication, realistic planning and thorough stakeholder engagement throughout the digital transformation process. In addition, recognising the challenges associated with change management and maintaining consistency during implementation are essential to achieving successful outcomes.
