Abstract: 
The presentation explains the foundations for the current Open Access monitoring strategies used by the French Open Science Monitor together with some figures on publications, clinical trials and theses. The ongoing efforts to extend this monitoring into the wider Open Science are described, the objective being to be able to produce indicators for the availability of research data and software related to French publications. The general Open Science Monitor is also applicable to specific institutions, providing a network of institutional monitors.
