Abstract:
For over 15 years, the Confederation of Open Access Repositories (COAR) has been the leading international association representing open science repositories and has been at the forefront of efforts to create a global network of open access repositories that preserve and provide access to a wide range of valuable research outputs. In the summer of 2025, COAR undertook a strategic review process that involved expert consultations and a survey of members in order to develop a new COAR strategy. Based on these discussions, COAR has undertaken an analysis of the landscape and identified the major trends we anticipate to impact / intersect with repositories. This presentation will briefly touch on these trends and provide an overview of COAR’s plans and activities in the coming year.
