Abstract:
As research assessment reforms accelerate across Europe, the role of CRIS systems is evolving. This talk explores how Open Infrastructures, interoperable, community-governed, and transparent, can support Responsible Research Assessment (RRA) by embedding CoARA-aligned principles into the heart of CRIS. Drawing on outputs from the OI4RRA Working Group, the presentation is about actionable pathways for integrating ethical, AI-aware, and FAIR-by-design practices into research information systems, ensuring that CRIS are not just data sources, but engines of trust, accountability, and change.
