Title: | The future of CRIS systems - an interplay with VIVO | Authors: | Vestdam, Thomas | Keywords: | research information management;current research information systems;CERIF;Pure;VIVO;system interoperability | Issue Date: | 15-Aug-2013 | Publisher: | Elsevier | Source: | 4th Annual VIVO Conference (St Louis, MO, Aug 14-16, 2013) | Abstract: | This presentation delivers an European perspective on Current Research Information Systems (CRIS) to contribute to the discussions around the VIVO research information management platform at the VIVO Conference 2013. Brief descriptions are provided for some of the features of Pure CRIS, CERIF metadata standard for research information management and euroCRIS, the European organisation acting as custodian of CERIF. A proposal is finally made for keeping in mind the benefits to arise from a successful system interoperability between the conceptually rather similar leading research information management standards at both sides of the pond. |
