Abstract:
The Catalan Research Portal or "Portal de la Recerca de Catalunya" (PRC) project is presented as an example for the application of CERIF-XML-mediated interoperability to devising an aggregated research information portal at regional level in Catalonia. The presentation describes the CERIF-XML-based data exchange procedures that will allow institutional CRISs at a number of Catalan universities to deliver information on research outputs to a central DSpace-CRIS-based research portal. Interoperability standards such as CERIF and ORCID are being promoted at Catalan universities as part of the PRC initiative.
