Abstract: 
The presentation provides a follow-up to the discussion on interoperability across the research lifecycle David Baker (CASRAI), Josh Brown (ORCID) and Ed Simons (euroCRIS) had at the recently held Converis Global User Group event in London. The presentation examines the challenges for implementing this seamless cross-institutional interoperability and provides two case studies based on the Converis-based SweCRIS in Sweden and the research information management system at the Region of Bolzano in Italy.
