Biography
Professor Dr. Daniel Cebo is a scientist known for his controversial views and skepticism, with current interests in synthetic biology, robotics, artificial intelligence and the future of humans. He began his career as a scientist in molecular biology, biomedicine and system biology. He has also become interested in stem cell research and community-based research, especially in global health and substance abuse. After completing his PhD, Daniel decided to use his experience and scientific background to research new technologies and provide scientific insight and advice to policy makers, scientists and international institutions. Currently he is an independent researcher and honorary professor. His ongoing work focuses on a wide range of topics, including emerging technological risks, scientific diplomacy, scientific controversy, foresight, and global risk management (such as artificial intelligence, bioweapons, and human-made pandemics). Daniel is also active in promoting public understanding of science, conducting lectures ,and writing popular scientific books and publications. He has other interests including: politics, international affairs, exploring Hi-Tech markets, entrepreneurship, exotic travel, dystopian books, mystery movies, and eating all kinds of food.
