Abstract:
Dendro was an experiment developed at U.Porto, which aimed to identify the scientific data curation needs at the university and the main problems in establishing a multi-disciplinary data curation platform. Two integrated research data management compotents, UPBox and DataNotes, were designed and implemented in order to aid research data preparation in a collaborative environment for its subsequent deposit into a data repository. UPBox is a private cloud to support data storage, while DataNotes is a tool built on Semantic MediaWiki for promoting collaborative research data description by researchers.
