The standardization initiatives currently being carried out by organisations like CASRAI and euroCRIS are described in the 'three pillars of interoperability' framework. An introduction is delivered for CERIF as a base standard for CRIS systems and the current landscape is described for CRIS implementation. A number of opportunities and challenges around the current lack of interoperability are finally outlined, which require understanding and leadership from senior managers at organisations and national governments. |
