Abstract:
The presentation introduces the global network of library partnership under OCLC and describes the current worklines for OCLC Research. One of the key areas of activity is the exploration of the roles played by research libraries in the domain of research information management. In the past year OCLC has teamed up with euroCRIS (which whom a Memorandum of Understanding has recently been signed) for producing a report on the subject of RIM and the role that libraries have in its institutional implementation. Finally, the ongoing 2017 RIM Survey at http://oc.lc/rim is described. This joint OCLC/euroCRIS survey will collect information on the current situation around institutional research information management practices worldwide, with a specific emphasis on the research library activity in the area.
