Abstract:
The presentation describes the current status and the aims of the Research Data Shared Services (RDSS) currently being developed by Jisc in partnership with the UK research community. The RDSS will enable research organizations to support researchers to easily deposit data for publication, discovery, safe storage, long-term archiving and preservation. In order to maximize the necessary interoperability with a range of different systems, the data model underpinning the RDSS is presently being CERIFied, i.e. mapped to the CERIF data model. This will allow specific use cases of RDSS, or related services, to be mapped to CERIF-XML.
