Abstract:
The P-O-P-F (Project-Organisation-Person-Funding) project aims to implement a CERIF-XML-based national-level information exchange mechanism between the main research funder in The Netherlands (NWO or Dutch Organisation for Scientific Research) and the institutional CRIS systems of 13 Dutch universities. The first stage of the P-O-P-F project involves exporting NWO-funded project information into the institutional CRISs, while in a second stage, the institutional CRISs will return the information on project outputs to the research funder's CRIS. The planning stage of the P-O-P-F project has engaged a range of different CRIS systems including METIS, PURE and Converis, which provides a valuable case study for CERIF-based system interoperability across vendors.
