Abstract:
Slides delivered at the OpenAIRE National Workshop for the Czech Republic held in Prague on Apr 26th, 2018. The presentation addresses the ongoing progress in the implementation of the CERIF-XML-based OpenAIRE Guidelines for CRIS managers v1.1 that will allow Current Research Information Systems to join literature repositories and data repositories as content providers for OpenAIRE. The CERIF data model is briefly explained and a few examples are provided for the CERIF-XML feed exposed by CRIS systems. The OpenAIRE-funded METIS2OpenAIRE project is also introduced. This project, running until mid-May 2018, aims to make the METIS institutional CRIS at Radboud University in the Netherlands the first OpenAIRE-compatible CRIS via the Guidelines for CRIS Managers. A minimally sufficient test validator is being developed within the project that will allow CRIS systems to test their compatibility with the OpenAIRE Guidelines.
