Authors: Bennet, Andrew
Keywords: system interoperability;open access repositories;Symplectic;current research information systems
Issue Date: 13-Jun-2018
Publisher: euroCRIS
Series/Report no.: DuraSpace-euroCRIS Interoperability Event: DSpace and CRIS systems workshop (Umeå, June 13th, 2018)
Conference: DuraSpace-euroCRIS Interoperability Event
Abstract:
The presentation describes the enhanced information exchange gateway 'Repository Tools 2' developed by Simplectic to ensure full interoperability between Elements and DSpace repositories. The limitations of the previous version of this tool are explained. By making use of native APIs for writing and reading instead of a custom repository API, the new version is able to treat DSpace like any other data source for Elements. A demo is provided for the much improved workflows for metadata and full-text file exchange.
Description:
24 slides.-- Presentation delivered at the DuraSpace-euroCRIS Interoperability Event in Umeå, co-located with the CRIS2018 conference

The presentation "Apollo, Cambridge’s Institutional Repository, and the University’s CRIS system" at http://hdl.handle.net/11366/698, also delivered at this DuraSpace-euroCRIS Interoperability Workshop, provides a complementary case study for the 'Repository Tool 2' interoperability mechanism described in this talk
