Item type:Publication, 17 characters in search of interoperability: European University Alliances in Belgium(euroCRIS, 2025-05-15); ; While education represents the primary focus of an initiative promoted by the European Commission DG for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture, research is an increasingly integral component of the EUA initiative too. Many alliances are incorporating joint research strategies to reinforce the European Research Area (ERA), with a defining characteristic of each alliance being its unique thematic focus, determined by shared educational priorities and research interests. The research-related activity of EUAs is multi-folded, including the promotion of interdisciplinary collaboration, the sharing of research infrastructures, and the exploration of cross-border funding opportunities. Given this evolving research dimension, the presentation aims to examine the contributions of these EUAs – and in particular of the 17 alliances with Belgian institutions in them – to research. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

It lays the groundwork for an integration of information systems within public administration, with one of the goals being to reduce paper use in public services. MetaRegister provides essential details for managing and connecting institutions' data within public services. This way data exchange saves costs on technical maintenance and communication tools. Item type:Publication, Towards integration of research information: the SK CRIS system as part of research infrastructures(euroCRIS, 2025-05-15); ; The information system about research and development SK CRIS was built in accordance with the standards and best practices of research information in the EU. In addition to the CERIF relational data format, which allowed us to record links between basic objects, we therefore also implemented open science and FAIR principles for the collected data. We focus on the implementation of unique identifiers, data management and metadata quality control, as well as the integration of various data sources into larger whole with the character of research infrastructures. Item type:Publication, The 4th Generation University Initiative: its impact and relevance for CRIS systems(euroCRIS, 2025-05-14)In the evolving landscape of higher education, the need for universities to demonstrate their societal value has never been more pressing. This presentation will be about an innovative program that Elsevier have been developing over the past 2 years in collaboration with Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) and a dozen of similar universities world-wide (European countries like Austria, the Czech Republic, Finland, Germany, Ireland and the UK are specifically represented). This discussion will provide an overview of the 4th Generation University (4GU), an initiative designed to propel universities toward greater engagement with their local and global ecosystems while showcasing their contributions to society.
