Item type:Publication, The importance for Ukrainian R&D system RI’s mapping and the Slovak case study(euroCRIS, 2024-05-16); ; For the effective restoration of the Ukrainian research and development (R&D) sector, it is crucial to have access to up-to-date information on the available research infrastructures in the country. As it was the case ten years ago when this effort started, Ukraine needs this mapping of research infrastructures to efficiently visualize and disseminate data on research centers, laboratories, and academic institutions. It will become a vital instrument in the recovery and strengthening of Ukraine's scientific potential after the war. The Map of Slovak Research Infrastructure is currently hosted as a module in the national Slovak CRIS SK CRIS and provides a valuable source of inspiration for the development of the "Science Map of Ukraine" system. The SK CRIS module for RIs is currently in test operation, but it already contains records for about 27,000 research infrastructures, laboratories and devices in the Slovak Republic. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Antarctic science depends on long-term, multi-decadal datasets that are essential for understanding global climate processes, environmental change, and ecosystem dynamics. Item type:Publication, Governance, Validation, and Responsible Metrics in National Research Information Systems: Comparative Evidence from Ukraine and Slovakia(euroCRIS, 2026-05-21); ; ; ; Zharinova, AllaNational research information systems play an increasingly central role in supporting evidence-based research governance, yet the ways in which these systems ensure data quality, structure validation workflows, and apply research metrics vary considerably across countries. Ukraine’s URIS system and the Slovak national CRIS provide two distinct but complementary examples of how large-scale infrastructures can manage hundreds of thousands of research records while maintaining high standards of accuracy, transparency, and interoperability. In Ukraine, more than half a million submissions undergo a combined manual and automated validation process coordinated by the State Scientific and Technical Library of Ukraine, forming the backbone of national research assessment and reporting. Slovakia, meanwhile, has developed its own frameworks for quality control and verification, embedded in long-standing national evaluation practices and supported by established governance structures. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

With the continual expansion in the volume, diversity, and complexity of data produced across disciplines, the demand for structured frameworks to guide data storage, documentation, sharing, and long-term accessibility has intensified. These needs are particularly acute in the Ukrainian research sector, where systemic reforms and a growing orientation toward integration with the European Research Area (ERA) necessitate substantial changes in the organization of research support services.
