dc.description53 slides.-- Keynote speech delivered on Day II of the CRIS2022 conference.en_US
The presentation provides an overview on the areas of research integrity and research ethics. It is argued that research and publication ethics are a spectrum. As a result, if journal editors are well placed to detect scientific misconduct, they are also well placed to prevent misconduct and to promote responsible conduct of research. A number of challenges are examined where the ethical role of journal editors comes to the fore in terms of ensuring the integrity of the scientific record.en_US
