Abstract:
The presentation offers an overview of the way the Pure-based u:cris platform is being used to support different research information management areas at the University of Vienna. Research information management workflows are described that involve a close collaboration between the Library and the Research Services and Career Development Unit at the institution. Areas like publication validation, reporting and award management have all benefited from the introduction of u:cris and are now carried out in a far more comprehensive way. Special attention is being paid within this research information management activity to the visibility of research in the SSH and its outputs. Austrian national-level collaborative networks are finally described for a coordinated approach to CRIS management (FIS/CRIS) and for progressing in the implementation of the Austrian Transition to Open Access (AT2OA).
