    SK CRIS as an Information Resource for Technology Transfer

    According to figures published in Innovation Union scoreboard 2013, aimed at measuring the impact of the economic crisis on the research and innovation landscape and which provided a comparative assessment of average innovation performance based on a composite indicator built on 2010 and 2011 Eurostat data using 24 indicators for all 27 European Union member states, Slovakia along with eight other states was classified as a moderate innovator. The performance of this group extends from less than 10% to 50% of the EU 27 average innovation performance.

    Application of selected SK CRIS system indicators to evaluation of R&D and technology transfer in Slovak higher education and research institutions

    This presentation explains the way the research information collected in the national SK CRIS in Slovakia from universities and research centres in the country is used for technology transfer purposes by the EU-funded NITT SK Project for developing a National Infrastructure for supporting Technology Transfer in Slovakia. The NITT SK Project, running until Dec 2014 and managed by the Centre of Scientific and Technical Information (CVTISR) in Bratislava, will collect research information from various national and international sources in order to carry out a comprehensive evaluation of the research activity in Slovakia.
